$250 Salvation Army Charitable Contribution
The work of The Salvation Army in Bermuda began in 1896. Guided by our operational core values of compassion, respect, excellence, integrity, relevance, cooperation and celebration we exist to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human need and be a transforming influence in Bermuda. We are pleased to invest in the lives of others through a wide array of community-based social programs. These include Bermuda's first residential (10 beds) addiction and rehabilitation program for men, a 54 bed co-ed Emergency Housing Complex in partnership with the government of Bermuda that offers some 20,000 bed spaces annually, three community and family services programs that assist some 5,000 people each year, various meal programs, a Street Outreach program that offers physical and emotional support to the marginalized of our community and a Thrift Store program that provides second-hand donated goods at nominal cost.
